THE COURAGEOUS SLAVE..

Episode 13.

Bolu who was the heir of the king, having sold for fifty pounds as slave,he had nothing left with him again,his father had died,his brother had died and almost all his families are dead corpse.Bolu became an orphan and was left alone to face the fate of life he believed he his suffering of his father misdeeds,unlike his father King Adebayo he was respectful, obedient and not full of ego,The king who sold him to slavery was happy he became the only king in Bachran.Bolu on the other hand was sold to a far away village which he knew not,he lives by the fate of his destiny.Bolu was sold out to a mere Hunter of another village called Abaku.He  was honest with this man, the Hunter seem to like him much.he bacame popular as people of abaku call him the Hunter's son due to their closeness.

   Bolu was quiet and never for once complained of working and going to the bush in the dark and cold every night,he make sure  he brought game home anytime he went hunting,he never for once became idle.....

One night bolu was left alone in the forest  the Hunter had left Abaku for an important assignment given to him by the king,he walked along the lonely path,The Hunter had taught him to always be bold in all situation and be always watchful and vigilant.Bolu moved along the thick bushes....he had prayed to God that he want a big prey that will make the Hunter pleased with him,he mind dropped an idea of killing a Jackal...He went to the palm fronds trees in the forest and set fire on them in no time the Jackal ran for escapt,bolu ran after the Jackal phone keeps an hungry lion;He aim at the animal with his hun, the Jackal dropped dead...He picked it up out of amazement and happily he went home..

On getting home he didn't meet the hunter but met his wife,he greeted the Hunter's wife and have her the animal.. The Hunter's wife was surprised at the act of this courageous slave,he praised him and was grateful....

Within the space of an hour the Hunter wife came to bolu and begging him of something...."please bolu u know hiw you are to us,to boost your rank here just lie with me infact your love is killing me,"she said bolu replied out of annoyance,"its not possible for me to lay with my masters wife,that is abomination please I can't do that leave me the way I am I don't need any silly rank"he replied.The Hunter's wife pressurized him  but Bolu did not agree...every day the Hunter's wife kept pressuring Bolu but to no avail...

On a  certain day the Hunter had left on a journey to anothra vlosesc yown abiru in search of  a big Elephant.Bolu was busy with his chores the hunter wife came dressed like an harlot coming to seduce Bolu,she walked elegantly,her eyebrows raided and her fair skin shone like bronze she wore a fitted slimmy dress which would show the contour image of her ,she came bolu and greeted him bolu replied reluctantly ,she did all she could but Bolu ignore abruptly.She vacaba annoyed and told bolu he will majm him go through pains and hardship that his work will be doubled,bolu kept mute and work on deligently and delightfully.The Hunter came back and his wife you him soothy lie about Bolu,she said bolu was trying  to rape her sister who came to greet them and that he was trying to lay with her, The Hunter was angry and doubled bolu's work....he suffered in agony and pains yet he did not complain,he was receiving the fruit of his father's misdeeds and again he was set up by the Hunter's wife.

O'what a world,Bolu would cry day and night,he suffered malnutrition,he wasn't fed well enough like before again he was made to do the works of other slaves.

The Hunter had grown a crazy hatred for bolu,,,Bolu was yet still respectful and obedient to all instructions given....Bolu case was reported to the king and the law of the land had said rape is an offense that diserves punishment...Bolu was locked up in the slave prison as if that was not enough he was given several lashes on his back....he was beaten with a strong iron.....The king praised the Hunter for not concealing the matter and for upholding the truth and abiding by the law of the land..

In the prison,Bolu was not hapoh he wondered why he suffered much,he remembered the time he was a prince and the hatred if Boku his brother,he remembered his mother the queen and the bad chieves who misled his father,he remembered the the power and wealth of his father throughout Bachran...

On bright morning, all slaves was carried to the river bank for rituals some would be chosen as ritual item why some would be killed cos they ate too much.Abaku at that time had more than 250 slaves in their  custody.They were all taken to the river side. The chief priest made several incantation and brgin yo choose those to be used for rituals about 60 slave were chosen,40 was taken back to the town and 100 are to be killed in which Bolu was part of those who would be killed.Bolu mourn remorsefully,he toughtt about how his generation would end at the river bank killed like a slave....His heart was racing with fear he prayed to the gods quietly they were put on a queue Bolu was the 20th to be killed...when they reach number 18 Bolu mind raced with fear he thought within himself "is that how I would just die like a chicken"his turn finally came now he was totally shivering,he stepped forward and begged the chief priest he wanted to say his last words......
